Terms & conditions
These terms apply when you book a virtual DJ stream from DJ Colum H through this website. Booking a slot means you accept them.
The service
DJ Colum H provides live-streamed DJ sets for private events — birthdays, house parties, corporate events, anniversaries and similar. The set is streamed over the internet to a private event room on this site, which you open on a TV, projector or computer screen. Music is mixed live; it is not a pre-recorded playlist unless the set is an archived mix explicitly labelled as one.
The stream is audio. You are responsible for the playback side: a device with a modern web browser (a smart TV browser, laptop or streaming stick with a browser), a screen or sound system, and an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps.
Booking and payment
Prices are shown on the booking page in pounds sterling: £99 for one hour, £179 for two hours, £249 for three hours, with larger or unusual events quoted individually. Card payments are processed by Stripe; card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never seen by this site.
A booking is only confirmed once payment has cleared (or, for quoted custom events, once the invoice is paid). After confirmation you receive a private event room link by email and on the payment confirmation screen.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel more than 7 days before the event: full refund.
- Cancel within 7 days but more than 48 hours before: 50% refund.
- Cancel within 48 hours of the start time, or do not show up: no refund.
- If DJ Colum H cancels or cannot perform (illness, power or internet failure at the studio), you receive a full refund or a free rescheduled slot — your choice.
Rescheduling
One free date or time change is included if requested at least 48 hours before the start time, subject to availability. Later changes may be treated as a cancellation under the terms above.
Event rooms and guest requests
Each booking gets a private event room link and, inside it, a QR code guests scan to send track requests, shout-outs and messages. Keep the room link private — anyone holding it can watch the stream. The DJ may decline, ignore or remove requests at their discretion; requests containing abuse, harassment or illegal content will be declined and may end the stream for that room.
Live performance and recordings
Virtual DJ sets are performed live. Technical hiccups on the playback side (TV browser issues, local internet dropouts) are outside the DJ's control; if a problem originates at the studio, see the cancellation section for your refund rights. Sets are not recorded, and no recording of your event is provided unless separately agreed.
Music licensing
Music is streamed for private, personal events. If you are hosting a ticketed or public event, or playing the stream in a commercial venue, public performance licensing is your responsibility — get in touch before booking and it can be discussed.
Questions or disputes
Anything about a booking — changes, problems, refunds — starts with a message via the contact form. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
